Lutheran Schools Week 2012 - Building Disciples!
Make Lutheran Schools Week, March 4 - 10, 2012, a powerful promotional event with these FREE tools and activity ideas.
Lutheran Schools and Centers are places that strive to provide children and families with a safe, caring, nurturing environment in which they can learn, grow and look to the future. We are providing ideas for all schools and centers of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America to celebrate Lutheran Schools Week this year to give you a starting point. These are ideas that have been used in the past. We have included ideas for publicity on Lutheran Schools Week and your school, worship resources, classroom resources, and resources for All School Activities. Use the ideas given, change them to suit your needs, and CELEBRATE who you are and Build Disciples! Click here!
Congratulations to all 2011 Award Winners!
The 2011 Donald A. Vetter Educational Service Award recipient, Carol Zwernik, Director of Calvary Pre-Kindergarten, Golden Valley, Minnesota, along with ELEA's 2011 Elementary Principal of the Year, Christi Lines, Principal of St. Paul's Lutheran School, Waverly, Iowa, and ELEA's 2011 Early Childhood Director of the Year, Karen Freeman, Director of San Marcos Lutheran Church Children's Center in San Marcos, California, will all be honored at a gala celebration at the Minneapolis Hilton Hotel on February 7. This celebration is part of the 2012 ELEA National Administrator & Pastor Conference, "Mighty River - Deep and Wide", held in conjunction with the ALDE (Association of Lutheran Development Executives) National Conference. Join us to celebrate and thank these outstanding individuals for their dedication and service to Lutheran education!

In August of 1961, ALEA (ELEA's predecessor organization) was formed - we have been providing services and support to schools and early childhood centers for 50 years and very proud of it!
